Whisper interpreting is a special form of simultaneous interpreting. As the term suggests, the translated spoken text is whispered simultaneously to the listener. Ordinarily, technical aids are not required.

This type of interpreting is appropriate for no more than two listeners, as the interpreter must be very close to the listeners and be able to hear the speaker without difficulty or interference.
